Taxes at 3 am

Chances are (and correct me if I’m wrong) that you have never filed your taxes at 3 in the morning. You just haven’t. I’d like to believe that your life is more exciting than this.

But mine, however, is not. Here I am trying to file my taxes because as the kids say “Mapema ndio best.” Trying to get way ahead of the June panic. But I can’t because KRA added NHIF insurance relief to the damn form and now I am stuck. Each year they try to make the process of filing more complicated, I think. Trying to confuse the public. Also, who knows how that form actually works? And why do I have to put in the PIN and name of the employer twice?

Anyway, it’s 3:50 am and I can go back to sleep but I can’t because I am frustrated that this is a thing.
