
Do I Have To?
It’s 8 am on a Thursday. I wanted to say Thursday morning but that would have been redundant given the am. Anyway, I’m sitting in the living room in my boxers looking at this pre-workout drink. Dreading it touching my lips.
See, yesterday I went to bed feeling like I could conquer the world. I set up the workout video, I laid out the exercise mat and I fixed this dreaded drink. I was going to do this thing first thing in the morning after the obligatory pee. Now I’m just here wishing that guy, the me from yesternight, didn’t give me so much hope.
I’ll still do the thing, don’t get me wrong but do I have to? Isn’t there a faster solution to get fit that won’t cause my breakfast items to shrink? Where are the superfoods that turn you into Superman? If you can eat and get fat why can’t you eat and get fit?
Sigh.
Time to drink the tonic and turn the living room into the I-don’t-wanna-be-alive room for 30 minutes.
Pray for me. And pray that I finally get abs this year. I’ve been patient for so long..
